Reflections Day 4: Dylan Loo

EQ1: Why is it important for Singapore to invest in Vietnam?
It is important for Singapore to do so so as to improve ties between the two countries. This relationship could be mutually beneficial, and both countries could prosper. They can also spread their influence, and their culture will be apparent in Vietnam, which is good for Singapore. At the same time, Vietnam will be receiving aid, and becoming more and more developed. With this spreading, Singapore can benefit later on in the future as Vietnam becomes more prosperous.

EQ2: How Singapore influences Vietnam?
Singapore influences Vietnam in terms of its urban planning and building architecture. Singapore brings over its ways of planning for expanding and farther developing Vietnam, such as the locations that the buildings are placed. Singapore also brings over its building architecture over into Vietnam by giving the buildings to be built in Vietnam a look that is similar to that of a HDB flat. Singapore also goes by the main theme of live, play, work and learn, so the buildings planned to be built suit these four main purposes in the area.
